Farm Credit Mid-America Releases 2024 Impact Report

Inaugural report highlights impact of $4.5 Million invested in rural communities and agriculture in 2024

Farm Credit Mid-America has released its 2024 Impact Report, a reflection of how the cooperative is fulfilling its mission to secure the future of rural communities and agriculture. 

The report, available here, highlights the many ways the customer-owned cooperative invests back into the people and places it serves, with nearly $4.5 million directed toward impactful programs and initiatives in 2024. 

“We’re proud to share the stories and statistics that represent our unwavering commitment to rural communities and the future of agriculture,” said Heather Vidourek, chief administrative officer at Farm Credit Mid-America. “This report is a testament to our purpose in action and the strong relationships we build and nurture with our customer-owners.” 

Key highlights from the 2024 Impact Report include: 

  • Nearly $4.5 million invested in programs that advance agriculture and rural vitality: 
    • $1.7 million directed to initiatives supporting youth, college students and young and beginning farmers. 
    • $2.7 million invested in programs strengthening rural communities and agriculture, including $1 million for community-based initiatives. 
  • 450 loans totaling $87 million made to young and beginning farmers through Farm Credit Mid-America's Growing Forward® program. 

The report includes customer stories that highlight the next generation of farmers finding their footing through Growing Forward® and experienced producers adopting practices that preserve their land and operations for future generations.

Farm Credit Mid-America territory includes Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio and Tennessee. Arkansas includes Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, Cross, Desha (northeast of the White River), Greene, Lee, Mississippi, Phillips, Poinsett, and St. Francis counties. Missouri includes Carter, Ripley and Wayne counties. Kentucky excludes Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Marshall and McCracken counties. Ohio excludes Crawford, Hancock, Lucas, Marion, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, Wood and Wyandot counties. We serve all counties in Indiana and Tennessee.
