Biographical Information
My wife, Donna, and I live on a farm outside of DeGraff, Ohio, which is in west central Ohio. I am a lifelong farmer and also worked for 42 years in the commercial construction business. Twenty-five of those years working in the field and seventeen years working in top level management as general superintendent over all field personnel and equipment. Today, I no longer work off farm but farm full time with my son, Lance. Donna and I have 3 grandchildren, 2 girls in college and the youngest, a boy, in high school. He seems to be quite interested in the farm and helps a great deal.
Why do you want to serve on the Farm Credit Mid-America Board?
My background in agriculture and business, the experience and training I have received while serving on the Board, and my commitment and dedication while serving on the Board are all reasons I wish to continue to serve as a director. The Farm Credit Mid-America association is financially sound, performing well, and has implemented a valuable patronage program. As a member of the Board the last 12 years, I would like to serve another term and provide gained knowledge and leadership, as well as continuity on the Board as many new members have been elected or appointed in the last two or three years.
I believe in the cooperative model and know firsthand the value of a strong, reliable, lender for agriculture. I also believe securing the future of agriculture and rural America are essential to a prosperous America.
