Farm Credit Mid-America has promoted David Albin, a tenured leader with more than two decades of experience with the cooperative, to senior vice president of agricultural lending Arkansas. In this new role, Albin leads agricultural lending sales and support team members who serve Arkansas and Missouri farmers and rural residents from offices in Barton, Jonesboro, Marion, Osceola, Paragould and Wynne.

“I’m honored to be given this opportunity to lead a committed team as they support the credit and financial services needs of our customers,” said Albin. “In challenging ag environments like this one, Farm Credit Mid-America’s purpose to secure the future of rural communities and agriculture is more important than ever. I am committed to giving this team the support and guidance they need to navigate any agricultural cycle and continue to strengthen the already strong relationships they’ve built with our customer-owners through the years.

Albin has served Farm Credit Mid-America in both credit and sales roles since 2002. Most recently, he led sales team members as a regional vice president of agricultural lending in Western Kentucky.

“David has successfully built strong, high-performing teams for Farm Credit Mid-America,” said Tara Durbin, chief lending officer agriculture. “But more importantly, he has shown his commitment to live our purpose and keep our customers’ needs at the heart of everything we do. He is a strong, capable leader who will bring great support and perspective to our team members and customers in Arkansas and Missouri.”

David holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science with emphasis in Animal Science, Agricultural Business and Economics from Western Kentucky University and a master’s degree in agriculture finance from Murray State University.
