Farm Credit Mid-America Named Presenting Sponsor of Championship Tractor Pull

Farmer-owned cooperative will sponsor premier event of the National Farm Machinery Show beginning in 2024

// Company News

Kentucky Venues has named Farm Credit Mid-America as the presenting sponsor of its Championship Tractor Pull, the nation’s largest indoor tractor pull and premier event held each year during the National Farm Machinery Show.

The invitation-only event stars the nation’s best drivers and their machines as they compete in five exciting performances at the Kentucky Exposition Center’s Freedom Hall. Farm Credit Mid-America’s three-year sponsorship will begin with the 2024 event, scheduled for February 14-17. Nearly 200 drivers will compete over several days before an audience of 80,000 attendees for the chance to bring home a share of over $300,000 in prize money.

Farm Credit Mid-America is a leading provider of reliable, consistent credit and financial services to farmers, producers, agribusinesses and rural residents in Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio and Tennessee. Kentucky Venues selected the customer-owned cooperative as presenting sponsor of the Championship Tractor Pull through a competitive bidding process.

“Farm Credit Mid-America is honored to carry the torch as presenting sponsor of the Championship Tractor Pull,” says Mark Barker, senior vice president agricultural lending in Kentucky for Farm Credit Mid-America. “The Championship Tractor Pull has deep roots in rural America, and it’s an event many of our customers look forward to attending each year. We have been long-time participants in the National Farm Machinery Show, so this is another way we can engage our customers and celebrate our rural roots with thousands of other attendees from across the state of Kentucky and the country.”

The Championship Tractor Pull continues to grow in popularity and size. Since its inception, the premiere event has more than doubled the number of drivers pulling, increased the number of classes, added livestreaming capabilities, and dramatically boosted prize money from the original $5,700. Even as the show flourishes, the mission remains the same: to celebrate the agriculture community and its accomplishments.

"We are thrilled to welcome Farm Credit Mid-America as the presenting sponsor of the Championship Tractor Pull," says David S. Beck, President and CEO of Kentucky Venues. "Their commitment to secure the future of rural communities and agriculture mirrors our mission to strengthen Kentucky’s agricultural and tourism industries. The Championship Tractor Pull is a cornerstone event reflecting our rich agricultural heritage. This partnership with Farm Credit Mid-America not only reinforces the bond between our urban and rural communities but also spotlights our commitment to a wider audience during the National Farm Machinery Show. Together, we are forging a path that honors our past while fueling the growth and innovation that will drive our shared vision forward."
