“Financing land, construction, or homes on acreage isn’t always easy—but it’s what we specialize in,” said Liersemann. “My team works with customers every day to support the future of rural communities and help people turn their dreams into reality.”

John holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business from the University of Cincinnati. He’s been with Rural 1st for five years, most recently serving as Director of Inside Sales. His career also includes 10 years at Fifth Third Bank and five years at PNC Bank.

“John’s promotion is great news for our customers in Colorado, Kansas, and New Mexico,” said Darla Larson, vice president of sales at Rural 1st. “His experience and leadership are a perfect fit for guiding our teams and expanding our impact in the region.”

Liersemann added, “I’m looking forward to continuing to support current and aspiring rural residents who need financing for land, property, or construction in eligible areas. Our team members have a deep understanding of rural living because we also live in rural communities.
