Amanda and her husband raise about 2,000 acres of corn and soybeans, background and finish cattle and have over 8,000 trees in their apple and peach orchard. Amanda and her family run an on-farm agritourism market and commercial kitchen. Amanda is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in Agriculture Economics and a minor in Business. Amanda serves as Treasurer for the Kentucky State Horticulture Society and Treasurer for Shelby County Farm Bureau. She serves on the Shelby County Extension Phase I Board, and Shelby County Farm Bureau Womens’ Committee. She previously served as President of the Shelby County Chamber and as a member on the Kentucky Farm Bureau, Young Farmer Advisory Committee and Generation Bridge Chair. Amanda formerly served on the Farm Credit Mid-America Advocate Council and Growing Forward Committee.
