Biographical Information
Twenty-four years ago, my husband and father-in-law recruited me into the Vonderhaar Farms Inc. office, as the controller, utilizing Sage Accounting. I have served as Treasurer for several nonprofits, I enjoy sharing my skills in service with my community, an example I helped found the Friends of PC 4-H Inc to assist in solving financial shortfalls of the county 4-H program in 2010. I have used my ability to promote agriculture domestically with the Wheat Foods Council and internationally with U.S. Wheat meeting with millers and bakers throughout Latin and South America, promoting the quality, use and consumption of U.S. wheat. I recognize risk, enjoy problem solving, and like to find solutions that are winning strategies. Faith, Family, and Agriculture are my foundation.
Why do you want to serve on the Farm Credit Mid-America Board?
If blessed with the opportunity to continue representing our Farm Credit Mid-America cooperative members and the rural communities of our region, I will continue to use my strong compassionate voice to express the needs, desires, dedication, and work ethic of our members. Our Farm Credit Mid-America team has worked hard with our families, sharing knowledge and educational opportunities like the “Know to Grow” and “Succession Planning Basics” Workshops. I plan to make sure educational opportunities are continuing to be shared, along with protecting and strengthening the Farm Credit System to ensure access to capital for future generations of Rural America. I am grateful to be a member of our cooperative.
