Candidates Announced for 2024 Board of Directors and Nominating Committee Elections

Voting begins May 9, 2024, and continues through June 14, 2024.

Farm Credit Mid-America announced the candidates running for its Board of Directors and 2025 Nominating Committee. Customer-owners with voting stock in the financial services cooperative that serves farmers and rural residents in Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio and Tennessee may cast their votes beginning May 9, 2024, at 12 a.m. through June 14, 2024, at 9 p.m. EDT.

The eight candidates running for the four open Board of Director positions are:

  • Dustin Henson – Paragould, Arkansas
  • Gary Sitzer – Weiner, Arkansas
  • Kevin Cox – Brazil, Indiana
  • Dale Koester – Wadesville, Indiana
  • John L. Kuegel, Jr. – Owensboro, Kentucky
  • Matt Watson – Flemingsburg, Kentucky
  • Eric Maupin – Newbern, Tennessee
  • Jason Moore – Paris, Tennessee

The seventeen-member Board of Directors sets policy and provides strategic direction for Farm Credit Mid-America. This year, voting stockholders will elect directors to four-year terms for the four open roles representing Arkansas/Missouri, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. The Board of Directors is made up of fifteen stockholder-elected positions and two board-appointed outside directors.

Customer-owners eligible to vote will receive candidate information, find information about the candidates. To promote objectivity, the ballot is created, printed and mailed by Survey & Ballot Systems, a third-party vendor that gathers and tabulates online and mailed votes and reports the election outcome. Election results will be tallied by Survey & Ballot Systems in June after voting closes and results announced shortly thereafter.

Voting stockholders will also select 25 individuals to serve on the 2025 Nominating Committee. The Nominating Committee consists of five individuals each from Arkansas/Missouri, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee, and selects candidates for the following year’s elections. This year’s Nominating Committee candidates are:

Farm Credit Mid-America territory includes Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio and Tennessee. Arkansas includes Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, Cross, Desha (northeast of the White River), Greene, Lee, Mississippi, Phillips, Poinsett, and St. Francis counties. Missouri includes Carter, Ripley and Wayne counties. Kentucky excludes Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Marshall and McCracken counties. Ohio excludes Crawford, Hancock, Lucas, Marion, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, Wood and Wyandot counties. We serve all counties in Indiana and Tennessee.
